Find That Dynamic Meme
You know the sort of character dynamic you want to play out: you want to ship your shy bookworm with a more rough-and-tumble character. You want to play your older adventurer character taking a spunky up-and-comer under their wing. You want a social butterfly to teach your robot what love is.
Now you just need to find the other half of the equation.
The idea behind this meme is to strip away the pressures and biases that come with unfamiliar names and icons to make it easier to find exactly what you want by leaving the important fundamentals of your characters and what makes them click.
Post the form below, anonymously or otherwise, and respond to propositions and character types that ping you! If there's a dynamic proposed that you're willing to play, give a reply; if there's a character type posted you think would be interesting to play against, offer your own idea. See what you can find!

OFFERED CHARACTERS:
1. Grumpy, scatterbrained witch woman who lives in solitude; solves her problems by turning them into frogs, for the most part. A curse separated her from her family when she was a kid and she's been trying to break it ever since. Even though she treats everyone harshly, she's got good intentions deep down.
2. Bright-eyed teenage superhero completely awed by superhero culture, very black-and-white morality, focused completely on being able to help and rescue people, headstrong and bullheaded, outgoing, thinks he's much funnier than he actually is.
SOUGHT CHARACTERS/DYNAMICS:
1. I'd love to see her become a mentor to a younger magic user, especially someone else with deadish family members. Also, I'd like to play her off other grumpy witches.
2. Quieter, more down-to-earth characters as friends or love interests, especially other superheroes, and especially characters who are a little more morally gray.
PREFERENCES: Not looking for any ships with character 1. M/M and M/F for character 2 are both fine. Prose preferred but action brackets are also okay.

 SLEEPING TOGETHER It's time for you and your significant other, lover, crush, etc. to go to sleep...no, not that way. Get your mind out of the gutter! You two are sharing a bed or snoozing close to each other for whatever reason: you always do it, you just so happen to be together and tired, you're on a crazy adventure away from your homes, or they just so happen to be the only one you'd trust to be vulnerable around. You know, whatever, the usual. Of course, this can open an interesting can of worms. Does this situation cause faux-grumpiness (you're a sluggish, tired grouch) or full-on affection (that sleepiness may have brought out an uncharacteristic hug monster)? Does trouble with human contact lead you to sleep with miles between you - and is that an issue - or do you snuggle, though it may take a little while to warm up to that? Could both of you whisper sweet words into each other's ears? Most importantly, who steals the blankets...if you're lucky enough to be in a bed.? Maybe you could use their shoulder or their lap for a pillow, and get the best sleep of your life! Be sure you don't make any kind of confessions slip out while you're in the hazy state between asleep and awake, however. You don't sleep talk, do you? HOW TO PLAY

the stargazing meme

one → meteor shower you just saw a falling star! and another! make a wish!
two → aliens what was that? was that really? omg no way a ufo!
three → lunar eclipse you've been sitting out for hours, waiting for this. it's so cool!
four → comet does it move fast or slow? either way, it's amazing.
five → full moon the moon is so huge! just don't look too long, it's really bright too.
six → solar eclipse this might be happening in the middle of the day!
seven → planet sighting is that a new star? nope, just a neighbor in the solar system!
eight → constellations do you know the stories behind these odd patterns?
nine → deep space normal stargazing isn't that much fun. you got a telescope!
ten → star dust anything can happen in space. make up your own plot!

The Train to the Afterlife Meme
| Congratulations: You are dead. Maybe you know how, maybe you don't. Perhaps the memory is fuzzy, or perhaps it's crystal clear down to the look in your comrades' eyes. Maybe it was your time; you've done all you wanted to. Or maybe you weren't at all ready to go, maybe you went out kicking and screaming - but none of it matters. You know you're dead, and the train is taking you to an afterlife. Perhaps an afterlife of your choice; you might've earned that heaven. Or perhaps you've earned something else entirely. It'll be a bit of a journey, though, so you might as well take your time and talk to the other people in your coach. Death knows no place: most of them are strangers, even from faraway worlds. But death knows no time either, so who knows, some of them may be people you know, even if last you knew, they were alive - or long gone. Oh look, here comes the snack cart. |
Post your character (bonus points for a brief description of their death and/or appearance from it), and let others reply to you. You are both dead! How is up to you, whether it's AU or canon.
